Former President of Bolivia joins the Woodrow Wilson Center as a Public Policy Scholar

The Latin American Program is honored to host President Jorge Quiroga during his tenure at the Wilson Center.

As a Public Policy Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, President Jorge Quiroga will be working on a project entitled, "Political Engineering in Post-'Neoliberal' Democracies in Latin America."

Mr. Quiroga became Bolivia's 62nd President at the age of 41, one of the youngest in his nation's history. Prior to his term as President, Mr. Quiroga served as Vice-President and Minister of Finance of Bolivia, with extensive experience in the private sector.
