“It is an honor to have The Wilson Quarterly recognized after my first issue as editor. We plunged head first into the Arctic, assembling gripping visuals around a core of compelling narratives, and succeeded in capturing much of this fast-changing region,” said Richard Solash. “It’s proof of just how unique and engaging The WQ is.”

The latest issue of The Wilson Quarterly was published in August 2017 and features a number of articles by experts from the Wilson Center’s groundbreaking Polar Initiative.

"The summer edition of The Quarterly set a new standard for the Center's public outreach mission, while highlighting and contextualizing the many social, economic, political, and physical changes occurring throughout the Arctic,” said Mike Sfraga, Director of Polar Initiative and author of the issue’s anchor essay.
