Wilson Center Announces Two Additions to Leadership Team

WASHINGTON – The Wilson Center, named as one of the top 10 think tanks in the world, announces the addition of two new staff members to the leadership team, F. Andrew Pepito, as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Dennis Reimer as Chief Information Officer (CIO).

“Both Dennis and Andrew bring a wealth of experience to the Wilson Center. They will help bring world-class management and information technology skills to help us accomplish our mission to provide nonpartisan research and actionable ideas to policymakers,” said Bruce Blakeman, COO, Wilson Center.  

Mr. Pepito brings his 18-plus years of executive experience to The Wilson Center after serving as the Chief Financial Officer of the Lutheran Immigration Refugee Service in Baltimore, MD. Before that, Pepito worked as Vice President for Achieving the Dream in Silver Spring, MD, the Sr. Director of the Bainum Family Foundation of Bethesda, MD and Vice President for Finance and Operations for the U.S. Grain Council and key finance positions with Fortune 500 corporations. He holds an MBA from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and a BS in Accounting from the University of Southern California. He is active and has held many volunteer work and leadership positions in local school boards, parish councils and community-based organizations in the Silver Spring and Washington, DC area. Pepito, his wife and 9-year old son live in the Silver Spring area of Maryland. The family enjoys traveling and has have visited more than 30 countries.

Mr. Reimer comes to The Wilson Center from his most recent position as Senior Technical Advisor at The White House and has served in numerous positions within the Department of Homeland Security, including as Deputy CIO (Acting) of the National Protection and Programs Directorate and as Deputy Director of the Headquarters Services Division. Reimer is a Navy veteran, serving in uniform from 1984-1994. He holds an MBA from Walden University and a BS in Information Technology from Southern Illinois University. He and his wife of 26 years, Theresa have three children. His hobbies include woodworking, gardening, and home brewing. 

Mr. Reimer has started as of June 22nd. Mr. Pepito starts on July 6th.
