Wilson Center Congratulates Joby Warrick on Second Pulitzer Prize

The Wilson Center proudly congratulates former Public Policy Scholar Joby Warrick on winning the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Nonfiction. Warrick received the award for his book Black Flags: The Rise of ISIS, the subject of his research during his tenure as a Wilson Center scholar. It is his second Pulitzer Prize.

WASHINGTON —The Wilson Center proudly congratulates former Public Policy Scholar Joby Warrick on winning the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Nonfiction. Warrick received the award for his book Black Flags: The Rise of ISIS, the subject of his research during his tenure as a Wilson Center scholar. It is his second Pulitzer Prize.   

“Giving experts like Joby the resources they need for deep, original analysis is at the heart of what we do,” said Jane Harman, President and CEO of the Wilson Center, “We’re honored that the Pulitzer Committee believes as strongly as we do in Black Flags – a landmark achievement, an urgent piece of scholarship, and a critical window into the rise of ISIS.”
