Wilson Center Policy Council Welcomes New Co-Chairs

WASHINGTON— The Wilson Center is pleased to announce that Cathy Saunders, Head of Corporate Sustainability and Public Policy at Putnam Investments, and Ozzie Palomo, Founding Partner and Managing Director of Chartwell Strategy Group, have agreed to serve as Co-Chairs of The Wilson Center’s Policy Council.

“We are honored to have Cathy and Ozzie lead this vital team of corporate citizens who provide guidance and valuable support to our programs, staff, and scholars,” said Ambassador Mark Green, Wilson Center President and CEO. “Under Cathy and Ozzie’s stewardship, the Wilson Policy Council will seek new ways to engage with corporate communities, to enhance actionable dialogue, and further non-partisan research.”

The Wilson Policy Council is comprised of Wilson Center benefactors who understand the critical role that of nonpartisan, fact-based research plays for creating sound policy throughout the world. Members have the unique opportunity to engage with Wilson Center leadership and promote rigorous discussion on a global scale and within their own communities, corporations, and foundations.

Ozzie Palomo is a Founding Partner and Managing Director of Chartwell Strategy Group. He specializes in devising and executing advocacy strategies for corporate and non-profit clients in a bipartisan manner before the Legislative and Executive branches of the federal government. Born in Costa Rica and raised in New York, Palomo earned his B.A. from James Madison University.

Cathy Saunders is Head of Corporate Sustainability and Public Policy at Putnam Investments. In this role, Cathy advocates for all Putnam stakeholders in driving Putnam’s sustainable practices across the enterprise as well as public policy issues impacting Putnam’s purpose and mission.
