Date & Time

Tuesday
Feb. 22, 2022
2:00pm – 3:00pm ET

Overview

Negotiations concerning Russia’s buildup of military forces surrounding Ukraine have put renewed attention on existing and future challenges in US-Russian relations.

Dr. Gregory Hall, Associate Professor at the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce, University of Kentucky, will join us to discuss the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, the dissonance of perspectives among its actors, and its potential impact on present and future arms control and nonproliferation discussions. They will also consider the nature of the Russia-China relationship, and what it could mean for U.S. security concerns.

This event is cosponsored by the Department of World Languages and Cultures at Howard University, and is presented as part of the Kennan Institute’s Black History Month programming.
