National Asia Research Program (NARP) West Coast Symposium
Overview
On October 14, 2010, the National Bureau of Asian Research, the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, and the Asia Foundation will sponsor the National Asia Research Program (NARP) West Coast Symposium, hosted by the University of California-Berkeley's Institute of East Asian Studies in Berkeley, California.
The West Coast Symposium brought together leading scholars and specialists from the West Coast and beyond to discuss critical Asia policy issues. Following the inaugural Asia Policy Assembly held in Washington, D.C., in June 2010, the Symposium is an integral part of the NARP initiative and recognizes the long-standing tradition of exemplary Asia Studies programs at West Coast universities.
Event Agenda
The one-day Symposium included a series of panel presentations from select NARP Research Associates and Fellows, scholars from the University of California-Berkeley and other West Coast universities and will feature keynote addresses by Scalapino prize winner David M.
