Full Biography

Ana Safranoff is a Researcher at the Center for Latin American Studies on Insecurity and Violence (CELIV) at the Universidad Tres de Febrero and at the Center for Population Studies-Argentina (CENEP) where she focuses on issues of people deprived of liberty, gender inequalities, and power relations. Her previous work includes a research stay at the University of Manchester and completion of specialized courses at the Universities of Michigan and Berkeley. Her writing has been published in journals such as the European Journal of Criminology and Population, Space and Place. She holds a Master in Sociodemography and a Ph.D. in Sociology from the Pompeu Fabra University in Spain.
