Cali Nathanson is a Staff Assistant Intern for the Wilson Center’s Polar Institute. Her research interests lie primarily in the geopolitics of Russian energy exports, Russia’s Arctic policy, the Sino-Russian Arctic partnership, Norwegian Arctic oil exploration, and Arctic environmental security. She received her B.A. in Religion & Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies from Smith College and is currently pursuing an M.A. in Russian, Eurasian, and East European Regional Studies at Columbia University’s Harriman Institute. She enjoys cycling, running, and writing comedic short stories in her spare time.
