Carlos Santiso is the Head of the Innovation for Citizen Services Division at the Inter-American Development Bank. His work has focused on improving lives in fragile states and emerging economies in Africa and the Americas by furthering democracy, strengthening governance, and fighting corruption. He has previously served at the African Development Bank, the British Department for International Development, and the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance. He received his Ph.D. in comparative political economy from Johns Hopkins University, a Master in International Economic Policy from Columbia University, and a Master in Public Policy from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques of Paris.
