    Full Biography

    Colonel Donald Cloud is an Air Force Fellow with the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.  He has spent the past 21 years in the United States Air Force in a variety of operational assignments conducting air, space, cyber, intelligence, and nuclear deterrence operations.

    Most recently, he served as Special Advisor to the Vice President of the United States (2012-2014) where he provided support to the Vice President in the development and implementation of U.S. national security and foreign policy.  He also contributed to interagency development of defense, intelligence, and cyber policy and strategy.

    Prior to this assignment, he served as Commander of the 375th Communications Squadron (2010-2012) and Special Assistant to NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (2009-2010).

    Education:
    B.S. in Computer Science from the U.S. Air Force Academy and M.A. in Security Studies from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School.
