Full Biography
Elsadig Elnour is a Sudanese national and the Country Director for Islamic Relief Worldwide Sudan. He leads the country's programs and works to increase its portfolio to respond to those affected by the current war in Sudan. He is a committed leader with over three decades of humanitarian experience across countries and contexts including Chad, Sudan, South Sudan, and the Middle East (Jordan). Elsadig holds a bachelor’s degree in public health from University of Khartoum and master’s in business administration (MBA) in Project Management from the University of Medical Science and Technology in Sudan. He has extensive practical experience working with international organizations such as Save the Children/USA, Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) and government.
Elsadig is trained and equipped to work in development and emergency programs in the most sensitive and complex environments. His key achievements include leading portfolio growth, developing organizational strategies, diagnosing and strengthening program quality approaches, and leading large and culturally diverse staff teams. He believes that in the face of economic crises, conflicts, natural disasters, political instability and diminishing humanitarian space, stakeholders from across various backgrounds and regions join efforts to maximize impact and reach more beneficiaries across the world.
