Francisco Morandi

Francisco Morandi is Vice-President for Corporate Strategy and Investments of the AES Corporation. He spent the last five years in Sao Paulo, Brazil, most recently serving as Chief Financial Officer and Vice-President for Investor Relations for the Brazil Strategic Business Unit that included AES Eletropaulo and AES Tiete, Bovespa listed companies.  He previously led strategy, development and commercialization in Brazil, served as a Chief of Staff to the Regional President for AES Latin-America and Africa, and was responsible for strategy implementation and business transformation for AES globally.In 1999 he started his career with AES in Electricidad de Caracas (EDC) in Venezuela. Before joining EDC he worked in banking and management consulting, serving customers in Latin America and the US.  Mr. Morandi holds a BSc in Civil Engineering, a diploma in Corporate Finance, and an MSc in Management, by Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas. He also completed the AES Senior Leadership Program at University of Virginia and the AES   Global Leadership Retreat at Georgetown University. Mr. Morandi is a board member of AES Tiete Energia, AES Elpa and Brasiliana Participacoes and he was recently appointed as an alternate board member for AES Gener in Chile.
