    Full Biography

    Jennifer Steinhauer is a congressional reporter for The New York Times.  Prior to moving to Washington with the Times in Feb. 2010 she was the Los Angeles bureau chief for the paper.  She began working as a copygirl for the Times in New York in 1989 where she was City Hall Bureau Chief, covered health care in New York, and was part of the Hurricane Katrina news team.  She won the Newswoman’s Club of New York Front Page Deadline Reporting Award in 2006 for her reporting on Hurricane Katrina. She is coauthor with Jessica Hendra of the novel, “Beverly Hills Adjacent.”
