Project Summary

Examines the 19th century to the present, exploring the intellectual bridges between the Middle East, the Caucasus and Central Asia through Muslim Turkic thought. Reveals complex views on the past and the future of Muslim Turkic society and issues such as Islam and secularism, popular vs. state sovereignty, national and religious identity.
