Full Biography

Jorge Agüero is an Assistant Professor in Economics and Latin American Studies at the University of Connecticut where he is also the co-founder of the university’s Health Economics Lab. His main areas of focus are economic development, labor economics, and gender. He has previously held positions at the University of California-Riverside and the Inter-American Development Bank. His work has been featured in the American Economic Review, the Journal of Development Economics, and the Journal of Health Economics. He earned his Ph.D. in Agricultural and Applied Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master in Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona.
