    Full Biography

    Ms. Almodovar is a native from Puerto Rico. Ms. Almodovar has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Puerto Rico, Medical School.  She has been working at the EPA for twenty two years. Fourteen of these years where devoted to working in the Office of Water, Office of Science and Technology.  Ms. Almodovar was the Microbiology Program Manager, in the Health and Ecological Criteria Division, which is responsible for Human Health and Environmental risk/exposure assessments of microbials in ground water, source water and drinking water.  Ms Almodovar served as an advisor to the Division Director on regulations, policies and other matters relating to human health and environmental, development of criteria and standards for microbiologicals. 

    Currently, Ms. Almodovar is the Senior Program Manager for the US/Mexico Program in the International and Tribal Affairs Office.  She has managed this portfolio for the last eight years. This portfolio includes amongst other the coordination of the Border Programs and representation in the BECC/NADB Board of Directors.  She also participates with other officials in program formulation, evaluation of current programs, strategies and justification.
