Full Biography
Mari Davtyan is an attorney and an expert on legal issues for the Consortium of Women's Non-Governmental Organizations. Since 2012, she has also been a member of the Working Group on the draft law "On the prevention of domestic violence" for the Coordinating Council on Gender Issues at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation. Since 2017, she has been a member of the Coordinating Council for the implementation of the National Strategy for Women. She has participated in international conferences on criminology as well as women's issues in Sweden, France, and Turkey, and participated in the 59th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women in 2015. From 2016-2020 she was a PhD student at the Higher School of Economics in the Doctoral School of Law.
