Maxim Kashulinsky is editor-in-chief of Republic (previously Slon), an online magazine focusing politics and economics. Maxim was born in 1973 in Rybinsk, Russia. In 1995 he graduated from the philosophy department of the Moscow State University. Upon graduation, Maxim worked at Vedomosti and several other business publications. In 2004-2011, he served as editor-in-chief of the Russian edition of Forbes. Under his management, Forbes became the leading business magazine in Russia with monthly circulation of one million.
