    Full Biography

    Michael Geoffrey Richards attended Texas State University on a Track and Cross Country Scholarship between 2007-2011 and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Minor in Business. Afterward, he attended the School of Public Policy at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA where he obtained a Master’s in Public Policy with an emphasis in Economics and State and Local Policy. In 2014, Michael began working for the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Foundation specifically on the Ronald Reagan National Defense Forum. At the same time, he worked political campaigns for California’s 26th Congressional District. After moving to our Nation’s Capital, he began his federal career as a Capitol Congressional Intern for US Congressman Pete Olson (TX-22). After the 2015 Primaries, Michael was heavily recruited and returned to the Hill as a Legislative Assistant and now as a Deputy Chief of Staff for Congressman Olson, where he works on telecommunications, technology, defense, and transportation & infrastructure to name a few. He is also the lead staffer for the Rep. Olson’s work on the House AI Caucus and Victims’ Rights Caucus.
