Project Summary

Examines US policy towards Ukraine from 1917 to 1920. Looks at the contradictions in US policy towards independent Ukraine in order to assess the context of great powers’ general interests in Eastern Europe and their different approaches to Russian and Polish problems. Examines the activity of the Ukrainian semi-official diplomatic representations in the USA.
