Full Biography
Oliver Ready’s translation of Crime and Punishment is published by Penguin Classics and was shortlisted for the PEN Translation Prize in 2016. His other translations include three novels by the late Vladimir Sharov, most recently Be as Children (Dedalus, 2021). Dr Ready is Research Fellow in Russian Literature and Culture at St Antony’s College, Oxford, and the author of Persisting in Folly: Russian Writers in Search of Wisdom, 1963-2013 (Peter Lang, 2017).
