Peter B. Clark is the former President of The Evening News Association, a national newspaper, television, and radio firm that was incorporated in Michigan and sold to Gannett in 1986. In addition, he was the Publisher of The Detroit News from 1963-1982 and the Chairman from 1969-1986. He continued his involvement on the Board of Directors of Gannett Co., Inc. until 1999. Mr. Clark was Director and Deputy Chairman of the Federal Reserve Branch Bank of Detroit and the Director, Deputy Chairman, and Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. He is a former trustee for Pomona College, his alma matter, and of Kenyon College. He is also a former member of several visiting committees: the University of Chicago Social Science Division, The Brookings Institution, and the Harvard University Government Department. Mr. Clark is the former Director of the American Newspaper Publishers Association and is a current member of the American Society of Newspaper Editors.
