Project Summary

Study of the relations among Lenin, Trotsky and Stalin as an effort to deal with the transition from a revolutionary subculture to a ruling political machine. Examines the personal background of both intellectual and political positions. Traces the complex interactions of all dimensions during the crisis of 1917-1927.
