Simon Miles

Simon Miles is Assistant Professor in the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University. He is a diplomatic and international historian of the Cold War. Simon has published research in the Journal of Cold War Studies (2020), Diplomatic History (2016), and Diplomacy and Statecraft (2013) and his first book is Engaging the Evil Empire: Washington, Moscow, and the Beginning of the End of the Cold War (2020). Simon holds a Ph.D. in history from the University of Texas at Austin.
