    Full Biography

    Sue Yon Kang is a career diplomat in the Korean government, who has recently served as Assistant Secretary to the President for Planning in the Office of the President. Prior to that she was Deputy Director in the Korean Peninsula Peace Regime Division in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Counselor in the Embassy of Korea to the Lao PDR. She has also served in the Embassy of Korea in Washington DC in the past and has spent many years covering U.S.-Korea bilateral relations.

    "Unification of the Korean Peninsula: Perceptions in the Region and Implications for the Future" The project will be focused on how the perceptions of countries surrounding the Korean Peninsula on unification have evolved since 1945, and identify implications for the current Korean government's unification policy as well as the future of the Korean Peninsula.
