    Full Biography

    Svetlana Reiter is a Russian journalist and special correspondent for Meduza. Previously, she worked as a correspondent for the BBC Russian Service (2018-2020), the Bell (2017-2018), Reuters (2016-2017), and RBC (2014-2016), as well as some of Russia’s other major media outlets, including Lenta, Kommersant, Colta, and Esquire Russia. In 2017-2021, Svetlana has taught at Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA). Svetlana holds a number of prestigious professional awards: Redkollegia award for investigative report on the Russian government’s genetic research program (2021), Journalism as a Profession award for the feature on Alexey Venediktov (2020), Redkollegia award for the article on Russian hackers (2017), and Politprosvet award for a series of articles (2013). In 2013, Svetlana was a Klebnikov Russian Civil Society Fellow at Columbia University’s Harriman Institute.
