Articles from Visiting Arab Journalist Program journalist Rachid Ould Boussiafa

Rachid Ould Boussiafa published his project, "The Reality of Algerians in America and their Role in Rapprochement with the Islamic World" as a series of articles on the web site of Echorouk Al Yaoumi.

Visiting Arab Journalist Program journalist Rachid Ould Boussiafa spent three months in fall 2010 in residence at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars from October 1 to December 23. During this time at the Center, he worked on his project "The Reality of Algerians in America and their Role in Rapprochement with the Islamic World." His aim was to learn more about the Algerian diaspora in the United States and the role it plays in the relationship between the U.S. and the Muslim world. Despite the community's small size within the United States, he feels that their impact on U.S.-Arab relations can be considerable. Following his tenure at the Center, Mr. Boussiafa returned to his position as deputy chief editor of Echorouk Al Yaoumi, the largest Arabic newspaper in Algeria. Mr. Boussiafa published his project as a 9-part series of articles on the web site of Echorouk Al Yaoumi:
