ECSP Director Speaks at IRG on Water and Security in the Developing World

Geoffrey Dabelko presents "Water Wars or Water Peace?"

On February 19, Geoffrey Dabelko gave a presentation titled "Water Wars or Water Peace?" at a discussion forum on Water and Security in the Developing World, sponsored by International Resources Group (IRG), an international professional services firm.

Dr. Charles Lawson of the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, U.S. Department of State, spoke about "Water Issues in the Middle East Peace Process," followed by Dr. Eugene Stakhiv of the US Army Corps of Engineers on "A Strategic Plan for Iraq's Water Resources Management."

The IRG Discussion Forum is a monthly event with speakers and invitees from the Washington, DC policy community—officers of foreign embassies, government agencies, think tanks, academia, NGOs, and private corporations—attending in a personal capacity.
