The Mexico Institute of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars is saddened to learn of the passing of Don Fernando Terrazas Torres, Chairman and President of Cementos de Chihuahua. Don Federico Terrazas was the 2013 recipient of the Woodrow Wilson Award for Corporate Citizenship, presented on June 10, 2013. He was also a member of the Mexico Institute's Advisory Board.

"Don Federico Terrazas was a wonderful, warm human being who shared with us a passion for bilateral relations and was deeply committed to improving both Chihuahua and the border region. As a Woodrow Wilson awardee and as a board member of the Mexico Institute, he exemplified the best in corporate citizenship. We will miss him very much," said Duncan Wood, Director of the Wilson Center's Mexico Institute.

Don Terrazas passed away on September 4, 2018, at the age of 86. The Mexico Institute expresses our deepest sympathy with his family; they are in our thoughts.
