CANCELED: Disaster Recovery and Regional Development: Lessons from Japan’s Experiences

Following the March 2011 Tohoku earthquake, Japan demonstrated its resilience to recovering from natural disasters, and it continues to lead the way in dealing with the aftermath of floods, typhoons, earthquakes, and other forces of nature. Join us for a discussion on the lessons learned from Japan’s 1995 Hanshin earthquake, and the evolution of disaster planning as well as the opportunities for cross-border cooperation in disaster relief.
