Full Biography

Prior to joining McLarty Associates, Ms. Caballero served as the Latin American Policy Advisor at a leading Washington, DC law-based global law firm, where she worked closely with the firm’s legal practices to provide strategic advice, risk assessment, and consulting services to international clients with investments and operations in Latin America, and Latin American clients with a global presence or interest in expanding their operations overseas. Ms. Caballero has also worked at the Embassy of Mexico in Washington, Mitsubishi Corporations (Americas), and The Brookings Institution, where she contributed to several publications, including “The End of Nostalgia: Mexico Confronts the Challenges of Global Competition.”

Ms. Caballero earned a BS in Science, Technology and International Affairs and an MA in Latin American Studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service (SFS), where she serves as a member of the SFS Board of Advisors. She is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at Columbia University in New York City.  Ms. Caballero serves as an advisory council member of the US Mexico Foundation, senior advisor to the Georgetown Americas Institute, and vice-chairman of the Board of Directors for She is an Aspen Security Rising Leader and a David Rockefeller Fellow of the Trilateral Commission. She is a dual citizen of Mexico and the US, and speaks fluent Spanish, intermediate Italian, and intermediate Portuguese.
