Full Biography
Deborah Estrin is Founding Director of the Center for Embedded Networked Sensing at the University of California, Los Angeles. She is a Professor of Computer Science and holds the Jon Postel Chair in Computer Networks. She is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and the American Academy of Arts and Science, was the first ACMW Athena Lecturer, and received the Anita Borg Institute’s 2007 Women of Vision Award for Innovation. She obtained her M.S. and Ph.D. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S.E.E. degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
