Dirk Schuebel

H.E. Ambassador Dirk Schuebel is the EU's Head of Delegation to Belarus since 2019. He served as well in the past as Head of the EU Delegation and Ambassador in the Republic of Moldova and as Head of the Political, Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation to Ukraine. In between Ambassador Schuebel worked as both Head of Division for Russia and as Head of Division for the bilateral relations with the Eastern Partnership in the European External Action Service. Before his EEAS commitments, Amb. Schuebel worked in the European Commission’s DGs dealing with Transport and Energy, Enlargement and also Trade. He started his professional career in the German Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Amb. Schuebel holds a degree in Foreign Trade and International Commercial Relations.
