Fabian Hinz is an independent OSINT expert focused on missile proliferation in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. He is currently consulting for the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) and was previously a Research Associate at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS). Fabian previously served as a Mercator Fellow at CNS and the Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation (VCDNP). He studied at the Universities of Freiburg, Isfahan, the Free University of Berlin and the American University of Beirut. His OSINT analysis has been widely featured in global media, including in the New York Times, Washington Post, NPR, and more.
