Full Biography

Jana Ramsey is a contractor with Tuvli LLC and serves as a Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of Global Criminal Justice at the State Department. In this role, she focuses on developing U.S. policy on justice and accountability for genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and other serious violations of international law. She also works with policymakers, experts, and members of civil society on appropriate transitional justice responses to historic and ongoing conflict, with a primary focus on South Sudan, Sudan, and the Western Balkans. Before joining the Office of Global Criminal Justice, she served with the U.N.’s Office of Internal Oversight Services investigating allegations of serious misconduct in the U.N.’s peacekeeping mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. She was also a senior litigation associate with the firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in New York. She is a graduate of Wellesley College and Columbia Law School.
