Full Biography
Jeannine Acevedo currently serves as General Counsel at Atlas Renewable Energy, an international renewable energy generation company with an asset base of more than 7.5 GW throughout Ibero-America, where she leads a team of over 35 lawyers and other professionals who manage all aspects of the company’s legal and compliance functions.
Jeannine is a seasoned attorney with almost 20 years of expertise in the development and financing of energy and infrastructure projects in Latin America. Prior to joining Atlas Renewable Energy, she was a partner at White & Case LLP, where she skillfully represented sponsors and creditors in intricate multi-currency and multi-source financings that gained her recognition by Chambers Latin America and the Legal500 Latin America, among others.
Outside of her official roles, Jeannine has been an active contributor in thought leadership discussions around the energy sector in Latin America and regularly participates in industry focused conferences. She has also been an advocate for pro bono matters as they relate to the region.
Jeannine holds a Juris Doctor degree from Columbia Law School in New York, and two bachelors’ degrees from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, where she graduated summa cum laude. She is licensed in New York and Florida.
