John McNeece

    Full Biography

    John McNeece is a Senior Fellow at the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies, University of California, San Diego.  There, he studies US-Mexico matters, particularly from a legal perspective.  His research interests include US-Mexico energy and climate change issues, cross-border infrastructure, and US-Mexico trade.   

    Mr. McNeece is also a lawyer.  He has over 35 years of experience as a business and international attorney.  Mr. McNeece was previously Senior Counsel at the law firm of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, LLP.  At Pillsbury, his practice focused on international business and finance transactions, primarily in Mexico, and on renewable energy transactions. Mr. McNeece’s work in Mexico extends back to the NAFTA negotiations, where he served as an advisor on issues of Mexican law to the U.S. Trade Representative.  

    Mr. McNeece is a graduate of Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley, Law School.
