Julia Antonova

Julia Antonova is a Senior Lawyer, at the Human rights NGO “Russian Justice Initiative”, Moscow. She has a Master Degree in Law from the Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Information Technology (2003) and a Master Degree in Modern Foreign History from the Samara State University (1998). She has twenty three year experience in the fields of gender discrimination and gender-based violence prevention, free legal aid; practical experience in developing and realizing training programs, courses and summer schools on violence against women and children issues. As researcher she is interested in domestic violence, female genital mutilation, honor killings, sexual harassment, etc. She cooperated as an independent gender expert with different UN and Council of Europe bodies.
