Karen Pletnikoff

Karen Pletnikoff is the Community Environment and Safety Manager at Aleutian Pribilof Islands Association, Inc.  Current projects include: BIA Coastal Resilience, BIA Alaska Climate Science Liaison, and the EPA GAP coordination.  In addition to current efforts for environmental quality and health at APIA, she has also worked on NALEMP, climate change and community based monitoring, fish and wildlife management, and fisheries.  She has long-term experience with traditional foods and environmental health issues.  Additionally, she assists Aleut International Association with Traditional Knowledge and serves as the AIA Head of Delegation for the Emergency Prevention, Preparedness and Response working group.
