A. Keith Mitchell, Q.C.

Keith Mitchell is currently Chair of Farris, Vaughan, Wills & Murphy LLP. Mr. Mitchell has served as a commercial arbitrator, chaired commercial arbitrations, acted as counsel advising Board of Directors’ Special Committees, acted as counsel on major Canada-US trade disputes and major real estate transactions, and acted as counsel for the Royal Commission on Electoral Boundaries. Mr. Mitchell serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the BC Achievement Foundation. He is a former director of Lex Mundi, the world’s largest association of independent law firms, a former director of the Lester B. Pearson College of the Pacific, and a former director of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada and other public and private corporations. Mr. Mitchell attended the University of British Columbia and attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1967, a Bachelor of Law degree in 1971, was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1972, admitted to the Yukon Territory Bar in 1980, and was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1985. Lexpert, Canada’s preeminent legal journal, lists Mr. Mitchell as one of Canada’s leading international trade lawyers.
