Lieutenant General (Retired) Mike Shields

Lieutenant General Michael H. Shields, U.S. Army (Ret.) served over 33 years on Active Duty, including Commanding General U.S. Army Alaska and commander of the 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, Ft Wainwright, Alaska.  His final Department of Defense position was Director of the Joint Improvised-Threat Defeat Organization within the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. During his military career, LTG (Ret.) Shields deployed on multiple combat operations and served in several strategy and policy positions on the Joint Staff. He also served previously as the Director of the National Joint Operations and Intelligence Center and JIEDDO Deputy Director for Operations and Intelligence. Today, he is Senior Vice President of Technology Strategy Implementation at CACI International Inc where his focus is on strategic planning to integrate advanced technologies in support of customer mission requirements.
