    Full Biography

    Margo A. Bagley is the Hardy Cross Dillard Professor of Law and the Joseph C. Carter, Jr. Research Professor of Law at the University of Virginia School of Law, where she teaches a
    variety of intellectual property law courses. Her scholarship focuses on comparative issues relating to patents and biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and technology transfer. Bagley
    served on the National Academy of Sciences Committee on University Management of Intellectual Property; is a technical expert advisor to the Government of Mozambique in World
    Intellectual Property Organization matters; and consults with companies, governments, and other entities on a variety of patent-related matters. A chemical engineer by training, Bagley worked in industry for several years before attending law school and practiced law as a patent attorney for several years before becoming a professor. She is a frequent speaker and writer on patent-related topics in the United States and abroad.
