    Full Biography

    Colonel Michael T. Miles is an Air Force Fellow with the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.  He spent the last 21 years in the United States Air Force in a variety of operational assignments across the world conducting air, special tactics, and nuclear deterrence operations.

    Most recently, he served as Chief, F-35A Logistics and Sustainment Integration for the United States Air Force Chief of Staff where he provided advice, strategy, and advocacy for the F-35 weapon system.  He also collaborated across the Department of Defense for F-35 development, fielding, and operations.

    Prior to this assignment, he served as 8th Maintenance Group Deputy Commander (2012-2013) and as 33rd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Commander (2010-2012).

    Education:
    B.A. in International Studies from the University of Wyoming, M.A. in Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma, and M.A. in Military Operational Art and Science from Air University.
