Full Biography
Pamela Davis Heilman is currently a partner at Hodgson Russ LLP. She is a member of the firm’s Canada/U.S. Cross-Border Practice Group and frequently practices out of the firm’s Toronto office, focusing on cross-border corporate and charities law. Since 1995 Ms. Heilman has been a member of the board of directors and secretary of SJL Communications, L.P. For the past five years she has been a member of the board of governors of the Shaw Festival Theatre - Canada and currently is the vice chairman of the board. She also has served as a member of the board of directors and treasurer of the Canadian American Business Council and as a member of the board of directors of Financial Institutions, Inc., the oldest bank holding company in New York State. Ms. Heilman was appointed by the Governor of the State of New York to the University at Buffalo Council in 2008, and in 2010 she was appointed to the University’s Presidential Search Committee. Since 2004 she has been a member of the University at Buffalo Law School’s Dean’s Advisory Council and has served as annual fund chair. Among many other awards, Ms. Heilman was presented with the Canadian Ambassador’s Award in 2009 in recognition of her efforts to build the Canada-U.S. trade relationship. In 2008 she was honored as International Woman of the Year by the Organization of Women in International Trade, and she is a member of the Western New York Women's Hall of Fame. Ms. Heilman received her B.A. with honors from Vassar College, and her J.D. with honors from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School.
