Vanni Pettinà (PhD, 2010, Univeristy Complutense of Madrid-CSIC) is Assistant Professor of Latin American and Mexican International History at the Center for Historical Studies, El Colegio de México. He is author of Cuba y Estados Unidos, 1933-1959. Del compromiso nacionalista al conflicto (Catarata, 2011) and has published articles in Cold War History and the Journal of Latin American Studies. Pettinà has been John W. Kluge Postdoctoral Fellow at the Library of Congress, has taught at the London School of Economics and Political Science and his research has received funding by the H. Harry Truman Presidential Library, the Spanish National Research Council  and the Spanish Agency for Cooperation and Development. He is currently working on a research project addressing the international history of Mexicos' development project between 1947 and 1982.
