Overview

On June 26 President Obama travels to Senegal, Tanzania, and South Africa for his third trip to the continent as President. According to Admninstration officials the trip will focus on the support of democracies in the region, regional integration, and trade and investment. It is unclear, however, what outcomes may come from this trip or if it will lead to any new policies toward Africa.

Experts at the Wilson Center held a conference call to answer press questions about the trip. Full audio and a transcript from the call can be found here.
