Full Biography
Dan White is a Kennan Institute Staff Assistant Intern for the Fall 2023. Dan is currently pursuing a Master of International Public Policy at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Dan’s research and policy areas of interest include political ideology and national security policy in Post-Soviet Russia and Ukraine, institution building and democratization in Ukraine, and US foreign policy in Eastern Europe and Eurasia.
Prior to joining the Kennan Institute Dan worked as a senior policy analyst at the Denver Police Department, and previously served in the US Army as a Field Artillery Officer with combat experience in Afghanistan. Dan holds a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Central Florida, a MPA from the University of Washington, and a M.A. in Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School.
