Full Biography
Deanna is currently a Research Assistant Intern for the Center for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies. She graduated in June 2020 from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, USA with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and minors in Arabic and Business. Throughout her studies, she worked with international organizations such as Interpeace in Geneva, Switzerland, and the Brookings Institute in Doha, Qatar on matters pertaining to policy formation and transitional justice. She has also worked as a legal intern in various law firms around Qatar, specifically Addleshaw Goddard, Al-Sulaiti Law Firm, and Clyde & Co. As a Syrian, Deanna is particularly passionate in peacebuilding and humanitarian reform and is pursuing a career in international humanitarian law.
