Full Biography
Dr. Hanne Nielsen is a Lecturer in Antarctic Law and Governance at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies, University of Tasmania. She specializes in representations of Antarctica and has a particular interest in the commercial history of the continent. Hanne serves on the steering committee of the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) Standing Committee on Humanities and Social Sciences; is a lead on the SCAR Tourism Action Group (Ant-TAG); and a past President of the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS).
